About Bryce Jerzak
Hi, my name is Bryce D. Jerzak and I am the Creator, Director, and Producer of Farm Film Productions. Below these photos of my friends and I is a section of my life of how I became a film maker that I would like to share with you if you have the time.
As a child one of my favorite movies was Star Wars. They were great movies and still are to this day. And I remember one of my favorite things to do after watching the movie was to also watch the bonus features on how they created such an amazing film. It was fascinating to me. It always felt like I had solved a puzzle after watching the the bonus reel because when I would see a really cool scene in the movie (like, how they made the light sabers glow) it would drive me crazy trying to figure out how they did it. Then when I would watch the bonus feature on how they made it and it just made everything clear. I remember my parents getting me my first kids toy camera and I just filled it with pictures and videos trying to be just like that cool guy George Lucas who made cool movies. As I got older I was allowed to use mom's digital Nikon camera and boy was that a treat at the time. I used to have a bunch of LEGO and I would play with them all the time. I remember seeing a movie that my parents got me for Easter. It was a LEGO stop animation film about the Bible story of Jericho. After I saw it my first thought was, "I can do that with my LEGO's!" So I did. I made my very first LEGO stop animation and my Dad put it on his YouTube channel and I remember feeling like I was the coolest kid in the world to have actually made a movie for people to see. (If you would like to see my first stop animation just click "HERE".) That is when I knew I wanted to make movies. But movie making would have to wait, because my family sold our city house and bought a camper trailer and traveled all around the United States. We must have been to at least 37 states, seen so many different people, life styles, old historical monuments, and even new foods. It was the greatest learning experience I think I will ever have. You are probably wondering how I was getting my education since we were trying to full time it. Well, my siblings and I were home schooled and still are to this day. Anyway, we had finally had enough of the small camper and, here it is . . . my family and I moved onto a 5 acre farm with a small farm house on it. We ended up calling that farm "The Farm House." We lived there for about 3 years when we decided we wanted to go back on the road for a little bit and that is when we discovered the Midwest. We thought it was beautiful there and we met some pretty amazing people as well. But my family and I knew we couldn't stay there forever ( at least not yet ) and we headed back to the West Coast. We ended up selling "The Farm House" and moved to a 10 acre farm with a pond. This was the farm I decided to take back up filming again. So I filmed my first ever "Farm Film Production" called "The Elf" ( You can watch "The Elf" by clicking "HERE". I filmed several films at this farm which my family had decided to give the name "Hidden Pearl Homestead." My family and I lived there for 3 years and went back on the road. Now here is the plot twist now. We weren't just traveling this time to see the sights nor to just visit our friends on the other side of the United States then drive back to "Hidden Pearl". No, we were moving to the Midwest. Once we got there we lived in an apartment for about a year and during that year in that apartment, "Farm Film Productions" was born into YouTube on December the 3rd of 2019. That is a day I will never forget. Yes, I know what your thinking, "It's just a YouTube channel." But no, to me it is my dream coming true. This is the first step to my dream. Now my family and I purchased an 8 acre piece of land in the Midwest and build a big house on it. We don't ever plan on moving ever again but who knows for certain? Some key points I forgot to mention in this bit about me is that before we moved to the Midwest I went to a Film makers camp in Colorado. There I got to work with feature film directors and screenwriters Ken and Zack Lawrence and a feature film actor Rich Swingle who taught me and my fellow campers how to use all kinds of different film equipment, audition actors, how to conduct pre-production correctly, and we got to make a short film called "Return on Investment" that can be viewed by clicking "HERE". I went back to the camp after we moved to the Midwest and were living in the apartment. We filmed another short film called "Loneliness." Which you can also watch by clicking "HERE". (If you would like to see some behind the scenes of the short film "Loneliness" then click "HERE" ) This is the camp where I met Bart Samberle and we hit it off so well we went on to make films together like "Alone" which you can see by clicking "HERE". We even have a shared YouTube channel called "Bart and The Farmer". We also have a fun video we did at the camp with all the campers the second time I went, called "The Bigger Fish" which you can also view by clicking "HERE". Well, I thank you for reading this if you made it this far, if you did make it this far I would like you to find any one of my videos and comment on it saying: "I read BJ's boring life."
